First Ultrasound Images at Lafayette

I hit a milestone today as work continues to get the lab set up and ready to perform experiments here at Lafayette. In this image, a gelatin tissue-mimicking phantom with a hypoechoic cubical inclusion can be seen in B-mode. The inclusion was prepared with a lower concentration of graphite nanopowder so that there would be less acoustic scattering and thus a weaker signal.
